    If you're more of a whiskey sipper than a whiskey shooter, you'll like the experience-enhancing functionality of the Urban Bar Spey Whiskey Tasting Glass Lid.

    Designed to fit our Urban Bar Spey Whiskey Tasting Glasses, this clear glass lid traps and contains the volatile aromas in your pour of whiskey until you're ready to nose and sip. This is especially useful during whiskey flights. As you focus on one whiskey, lids over your other glasses will prevent the dissipation of aromatics. And as any whiskey lover knows, most of what we perceive and appreciate in a fine blend or single-malt is a product of our sense of smell.

    When you're ready to taste, simply remove the lid from your glass, give your whiskey a careful swirl, and then carefully sniff the top of glass. The lid will have concentrated the whiskey's aroma to help you detect and identify certain scents before proceeding to take a sip.

    Each lid is sold separately, so be sure to purchase enough for the number of tasting glasses you want to cover. Also be sure to wash this product by hand for best performance and longevity.

    Keeps pesky bugs out!
    This was a gift for my neighbor. He said he had been using a small plastic flower-shaped dish cover to keep dirt and bugs out of his bourbon. He loves this lid. It fits his glass perfectly. So glad I found it.

    Great lid, wish the glass were thicker
    I love these little lids. I use them when I take my whiskey outside and they seal out those tiny gnat bugs perfectly.

    I'm pretty clumsy and the glass lid is quite thin and fragile. It doesn't take much of a fall onto a hard surface for them to chip/shatter so i wish they were a bit heftier.

    I often fall asleep while drinking my whiskey (not drunk, just tired) and I find my drams olfactory intensity beginning to fade. I’m hoping a decent glass lid will assist in keeping the aromas a bit more stable.

    The top openings on my scotch glasses are different diameters - the ones I have fit only one size glass. It would be great to have a drop-in graduated, one-size fits all - but there you are. By the looks of these lids - they seem to fit different tops. At least that's what I'm hoping.

    This is a must for older whisky. Older whisky need a little water (between half and full tea spoon) and than let it sit for about 30 - 60 minutes!

    I gave my neighbor a whiskey tasting glass. He said he would like a glass with a lid to keep bugs and dirt out in the summer when he drinks outside in the summer.     BEST ANSWER: they're made for a smaller glass, but they'll work. You might want to look for a better fit.
    Will this work with the Urban Bar Spey Dram Whiskey Glass?

    BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately the lid was not designed for the dram glass. I did test it out however, and while the lid will go into the dram glass snugly about halfway in, it will not sit fully in the opening of the dram as the dram glass has just a slightly smaller diameter opening than stemmed spey tasting glass does.
